Remembering

I still remember what happened on this same day 10 years ago.
I was 8 years old and I remember watching the taping of the planes colliding into the twin towers and watching in horror/wonder as the tall structures fell to the ground. As I watched the events unfold that day all I could think of is, why would someone do such a terrible thing!
I was fortunate not to lose someone very dear to me but even after 10 years my heart breaks for those individuals who lost a family member or friend in that catastrophe! I keep thinking of those 8 year olds who's dad or mom never came home from work that day. Now they are 18,have a single parent or maybe a "new" parent, and on this day every year they remember that terrible day.
I also want to commend/thank those men and women who are in the armed forces, and the fire/police/rescue squad. Thank you for all you do to serve this great country and for following the example of God! For giving all you have for those you love! You are a true hero!
Lastly, The family's of those who lost someone 10 years ago, My heart goes out to you! Love to you all!
